Join us as we get up close and personal with the cameras of the new Galaxy S21 series.

Samsung’s ‘Galaxy Unpacked 2021’ event brought us three new incredible phones and all eyes were on their cameras. We’re all guilty of whipping out our mobiles at every given photo opportunity, so it’s only natural that this is what we’re drawn to when hunting for a new phone.

All three phones boast pro-grade cameras, with both the Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus sporting a terrific triple camera system. Of course, the Galaxy S21 Ultra had to take it one step further and delivers four sensational camera lenses.

It’s the start of a new year and the start of a new photo album we think, so what better time than January to delve into every bit of spectacular that these cameras offer. We’ll start from the beginning.

Lights. Camera. Action: The Samsung Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus.

A lens for every occasion.

Despite having different sized displays and colour varieties, the Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus both sport the same impressive triple camera. Samsung have really thought of it all with this system and have delivered something special for everyone.

For those who find beauty in the details, take advantage of the whopping 64MP telephoto lens. You’ll be able to get closer to your photo subjects than ever, whether it’s a dog at the other end of the park or a close-up of your friends face – you’ll get every whisker and every freckle. (To confirm, we mean whisker on the dog, not your friend.)

The Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus pack a camera feature that we think will have you going nuts. 30x space zoom is available people and it’s great. You can get professional shots of things super far away, without moving a muscle. Great photos, less work!

If your photography seems to bring out your shaky hand, then you’ll be pleased to learn that Zoom Lock will stabilise the shot, so your photo isn’t affected. No more ruined moments for you.

If you’re a sucker for a good landscape shot, you can switch to the 12MP wide lens or the 12MP ultra-wide, depending on how much you want to get in your photo. Group events will be changed forever as you can finally get every member into one snap – everyone deserves to be there.

What we’re really interested in though, folks, is the fancy bits and pieces that really make us feel like we’re in the studio. If you fancy yourself as a bit of a portrait artist, you’re in luck. Portrait mode on these two phones, comes with seven different features that will have your pics popping.

From blur and studio to back-drop and colour point, you’ll feel like Ansel Adams himself. Combine these effects with smart AI and you’ve got yourself a winner. This smart bit of tech, analyses faces, natural lighting, angles, and directions to ensure your photo is as good as can be.

I think we can all agree that the weather at the moment has more ups and downs than the rollercoasters at Blackpool. Snow, rain, wind, even fog. But what stays consistent is the fact that it literally gets dark around 4pm.

How ever will you get your great shots? The Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus have huge advancements on night mode, meaning you can get top photos, even when the lighting isn’t co-operating. The best bit? You don’t need to use flash.

Samsung haven’t neglected those of you who love being the star of your own show. After all, there’s nothing wrong with a little self-love! The 10MP front camera ensures you capture heaps of detail, while fast autofocus takes care of everything else.

The Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus not only take great photos but record superb videos. You can record in 8K video, which is the highest resolution in a Galaxy smartphone, EVER. The Super Steady feature, combined with AI stabilisation, means even in the most adventurous times, you’ll get super-smooth video footage – day or night!

For those who want more: The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.

You’re probably, like us, sat there wondering well how on earth can this be topped? Introducing, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. We’ve already discovered that it has one more camera than the S21 and S21 Plus, but just how much more can it do.

Just to be clear, the S21 Ultra can do all of the above. The portrait filters, the 8K video and everything in between. But in the true fashion of the Galaxy Ultra legacy, this phone takes your photography one step further.

Like the other two additions, the S21 Ultra boasts a 12MP ultra-wide lens, but its wide lens is different and rather spectacular. At 108MP, this lens lets you see more of the world as you capture 12-bit HDR photos with 64 times richer colour data.

Four incredible cameras to capture your favourite moments.

Instead of just one 10MP telephoto lens, the S21 Ultra packs two, letting you get up close and personal with your subjects. But that’s not all, with 100x space zoom, this phone really raises the bar for high-detailed photography.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra comes with major improvements on its Bright Night sensor, making it Samsung’s biggest leap yet, in low-light photography. It packs everything you need to be able to get great snaps, even in low lit areas.

Improved night mode, noise reduction and 12MP Nona-binning technology, you can enjoy the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra day, or night. This is great news for those post-lockdown, romantic date nights or nights on the town.

Like the Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus, the Galaxy S21 Ultra supports 8K video, however, it lets you take your videography even further. You can now shoot in 4K at 60fps across all lenses, front and back! This is a major first for the Galaxy line and we’re super impressed.

And…cut.

No matter which of the new additions you opt for, you’re guaranteed a camera that performs. With lenses for all imaginable situations, every moment in 2021 can be a photo opp.
