Go Roam is split into three simple destination bands, depending on where you’re travelling:

  • Go Roam in Europe
  • Go Roam Around the World
  • Go Roam Around the World Extra

Each band covers a different group of countries and lets you unlock your UK allowances for a fixed 24-hour period. That means your existing plan works abroad, just with a clear daily roaming charge.

What’s included?

Across all three bands, you can use your core UK allowances while you’re away. This includes:

  • Calling and texting standard UK landline and mobile numbers
  • Accessing voicemail and contacting Three customer services
  • Using up to 12GB of your UK data allowance

That’s enough data to go exploring with Google Maps, scroll through your socials, check your emails, and video call your friends and family.

How much does it cost?

You’ve got flexible options when it comes to unlocking your allowances abroad. You can:

  • Use an inclusive Go Roam pass if it’s part of your plan
  • Buy a Go Roam pass before or during your trip
  • Or simply pay a daily roaming fee

Daily rates are:

  • Europe: £2 for 24 hours
  • Around the World: £5 for 24 hours
  • Around the World Extra: £7 for 24 hours

All of the passes include up to 2 days roaming free, making them ideal for short breaks. If you have a Spend Cap set up, make sure it covers the daily roaming cost, otherwise you won’t be able to use your allowances abroad.

How to activate Go Roam.

Good news, there’s no complicated setup. Go Roam works automatically when you arrive in a supported destination.

Before you travel, make sure:

  • Roaming is enabled on your account
  • Data roaming is switched on in your phone settings
  • Your Spend Cap (if you have one) covers any daily roaming charges

When you land, you’ll receive a text confirming roaming charges and details for that destination.

Travelling for longer?

You can buy multiple Go Roam passes at the same time – ideal if you’re away for an extended period.

You can also mix different pass types (Europe, Around the World, Around the World Extra). The pass used first depends on your location. For example, if you’re in a European destination, your Europe pass activates first.
