Who are Talkmobile?
Talkmobile are a self-proclaimed, straight-talking mobile network for people who want to know exactly what they’re getting from their contract. No more, no less, just a quick and smooth customer journey for those less interested in the next big tech and more interested in great value contracts.
What makes Talkmobile different?
Talkmobile keep it simple at every turn. That’s not to say you don’t get a lot for your dosh of course, just that they pride themselves on being a no-frills network that offers great prices, brilliant coverage, and excellent customer service.
What network do Talkmobile use?
Talkmobile use the Vodafone network to run their service, which means you’re covered across 99.9% of the UK – and that the service is getting better all the time. Because of this, Talkmobile are able to keep more calls connected than any other network in the UK, across both 4G and 5G.
Can I get 5G on Talkmobile?
Of course – so long as you have a 5G compatible handset, and a 5G contract.
It’s currently available across 140 locations in the UK, but if you leave a 5G area, you’ll automatically be switched to 4G or the next best available connection. Once you’re back in a 5G area, you’ll switch back.
Is roaming included on Talkmobile?
Talkmobile include a monthly 5GB of EU roaming data in all of their contracts at no extra cost to you. That means you can use your data in 42 European countries just as you would at home in the UK – and you’ll even get a warning message through when you’ve used 80% of your allowance.
Once your 5GB is up, you’ll get another notification so you can stay in control of how much data you’re using. And if you need a bit more data to get you through, it’s easy to sort out a 1-, 8- or 15-day Euro Holiday Booster for an added 15GB when you need it.
What sort of contracts are available from Talkmobile?

Every contract includes 5GB of EU Roaming data as standard, 99.9% UK coverage via the Vodafone service network, Capped Contracts via the Spend Limit tool for every customer (so you’ll never get a nasty surprise on your bill) and Wi-Fi calling for those awkward moments when you’re out of 5G and 4G range – so you’ll never be cut off mid-call!
Wait, what’s Talkmobile Wi-Fi Calling?
When Talkmobile rolled out their 5G, they also brought in Wi-Fi calling, which is exactly what it says on the tin. It means you can make and receive texts and calls in any area that has a Wi-Fi network – even when you’re nowhere near a phone signal.
To use Wi-Fi calling, all you need is a Wi-Fi-compatible phone.
Do Talkmobile have good customer service?

Talkmobile actually offers industry-leading customer care that you can’t help but be impressed by. In fact, between April and August 2023, 94% of all calls to Talkmobile customer services were answered in 20 seconds or less. Which made the average waiting time only 9 seconds – better than O2, Vodafone, Three and EE.
You’re unlikely to be transferred during your call, too. Less than 1% of queries to Talkmobile are transferred, so the chances are pretty high that the person who picks up the phone will be the one who sorts your problem – and you only have to explain yourself once!
If that wasn’t enough, Talkmobile is the highest-rated contract network on Trustpilot, with a rating of 4.6 stars (at the time of writing.) They even bagged a bunch of wins at the 2023 International Business Awards for their fantastic customer care, including:
