Samsung announce three new phones, all epic in every way. Join us as we unpack their event.

The much anticipated Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event arrived much sooner than expected and today we saw the release of three new epic additions to the Galaxy family.

Samsung announced the Galaxy S21, S21 Plus and S21 Ultra and each one has blown our minds. From new designs and unseen colours to incredible cameras and advanced performance, there’s simply so much to discuss.

One thing we want to highlight about all three new phones, is their HyperFast 5G. That’s right, not just fast, HyperFast. With any one of the new Galaxy S21 series phones, you can download a season of your favourite shows, almost instantaneously.

The 5G-compatible chipset will help you keep connected while HyperFast Wi-Fi keeps things fast and reliable. We know this sounds like some cliché concept from a futuristic movie, but we assure you, it’s very real.

Don’t worry if you missed the event, you can still catch up on everything right here. In the meantime, we’ll start where Samsung did.

Looking at our recent ‘Top 10 mobile phones’ articles, it’s clear to see that you all love the Samsung Galaxy S20 and this made the Galaxy S21 all the more exciting.

Will it live up to the customer favourite? Would it be adored even half as much? These were the questions running through our mind, and we’re pleased to say that we think the answer to both will be yes.

The Galaxy S21 is official and boasts the fastest chip ever seen in any Galaxy phone. The mighty Exynos 2100.  We think that this, alongside its whopping 4000mAh battery and speedy 5G tech, means you’ve got a phone that’ll perform.

Like the S20, it packs a 6.2-inch Infinity-O display, but of course in true Samsung style, it delivers a few extra bits and pieces… With this phone, you’ll get new levels of brightness and clarity – even when it’s light outside.

It boasts a stunning display - perfect for streaming.

The feature we’re super excited about is the incredible Eye Comfort Shield that this phone has. This significantly reduces eye-strain and fatigue, so you can enjoy endless movie marathons – certainly, something you’ll want to do with this phone, right?

As predicted, widely, on the internet, the Galaxy S21 has a 120Hz refresh rate, which will probably make every game lovers’ year. By now, you’re probably trying to envision what it looks like, so let’s help you out.

Available in Phantom Grey, Phantom Violet, Phantom Pink, and Phantom White, you’re not short of colour options to pick from. We genuinely don’t know how you’ll decide which to go for, all of them look super sleek and elegant.

Which colour will you go for?

This phone isn’t just beautiful though, it’s super-durable too. Manufactured with Gorilla Glass Victus, the Galaxy S21 can withstand any everyday wear and tear – great news for you clumsy folk!

It’s scratch and damage resistant and boasts an IP68 rating for water resistance which makes it the perfect phone to handle whatever your day throws at it.

We guarantee the photographers of the world are itching to hear about its camera. Well, the Galaxy S21 has three – a lens for every possible occasion. It boasts a 12MP wide lens, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, a 64MP telephoto lens, and a 10MP selfie camera.

Whether you’re a fan of the landscape shots or a sucker for the details, this phone has you covered. With advanced night mode and fancy portrait features, your snaps will look more professional than ever.

Enjoy super-fast charging and get hours of power in just a few minutes or take advantage of fast wireless charging and get the quick power-up you need. Want to help out a friend? wireless PowerShare will let you use your phone to charge theirs up in no time – you’ll be the most popular person around.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus 5G.

Like the Galaxy S21, this phone boasts Samsung’s HyperFast 5G, the Exynos 2100 chip and the very-impressive 120Hz refresh rate. Of course, this is the Plus version, so there’s a few extra treats for you with this phone.

It packs a whopping 6.7-inch Infinity-O display, giving you that extra bit of screen for a better viewing experience. Built with the same tough Gorilla Glass Victus and IP68 rating for water resistance, this phone is super-durable.

The S21 Plus is available in Phantom Black, Phantom Violet, Phantom Pink and Phantom Silver, meaning with this phone, you can add a little shimmer to your life. The fun doesn’t stop there, for no extra cost, the S21 Plus is available in two extra exclusive colours: Phantom Red and Phantom Gold.

In terms of the S21 Plus camera vs S21 camera, it seems that both are the same. Brilliant, but the same. One thing that excites us about their cameras in particular, is the 30x zoom. You’ll be able to capture intense details in your shots, without moving a muscle.

When it comes to power, this phone takes the advantage over the Galaxy S21. As well as fast charging, wireless charging and wireless PowerShare, the S21 Plus packs a whopping 4800mAh battery, giving you all the juice, you could ever need to get things done.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G.

Now, this is when things get interesting. Deep breath people. The Galaxy S21 Ultra boasts HyperFast 5G, the Exynos 2100 Processor, a 120Hz refresh rate, fast charging, wireless charging, wireless PowerShare, the same durability as the S21 and S21 Plus, AND still has lots of extra great perks for us to share with you – amazing we know.

We’ll kick things off with the display. At 6.8-inches, the S21 Ultra just beats the newly released iPhone 12 Pro Max. Whether you’re browsing, streaming, or gaming, we’re certain that you’ll have all the screen you could ever need.

A phone as cool as this, needs cool colours, right? The Galaxy S21 Ultra is available in Phantom Black and Phantom Silver, but this is the Ultra, so naturally, there’s more… You can get your hands on this phone in three extra exclusive colours: Phantom Titanium, Phantom Navy, and Phantom Brown. How ever will you decide?

Lights, camera, action. Don’t mind us, we’re just practicing our director lingo because this phone is going to make you the big bucks! The quad camera on the S21 Ultra is the key selling point.

What's better than three cameras? Four!

You can record 8K video, the highest resolution video available in any Galaxy smartphone, and get Oscar-worthy end results. On top of this, the S21 Ultra boasts two 10MP telephoto lenses, a 108MP wide lens, and a 12MP ultra-wide lens.

No matter what the occasion, you’ll be able to make every moment count. You’ll get all the same great bits and bobs that you would on the S21 and S21 Plus, like portrait effects and night mode, but you’ll also get 100x space zoom. Get even closer to your photo subjects.

Samsung haven't neglected those of you who love a selfie as the S21 Ultra boasts a whopping 40MP selfie cam. You'll have crystal clear snaps, that are social media ready, in no time.

We saw endless speculation about whether the Galaxy S21 Ultra would support the much loved S Pen that we saw with the Galaxy Note20. The great news is... it does! Working from home just got a whole lot easier.

The handy S Pen is certain to help you out.

It’s called Ultra for a reason folks and with all these fantastic features, you’ll need the power to enjoy it all. How does a 5000mAh battery sound? Pretty good, we think. We told you it was good!

That’s a wrap!

As expected, Samsung’s ‘Galaxy Unpacked 2021’ event was out of this world. We saw the release of three incredible new phones and discovered features we never even knew we needed.
