It turns out, iPhone 13 Pro lives up to its name.
When it comes to the iPhone 13 series, I’ve noticed people tend to rave about the standard model or the Pro Max.
The iPhone 13 Pro seems to slide under the radar and after reviewing it, I’m here to tell you all the reasons why it should sit at the top of your Christmas list.
Both boast stunning 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display’s, super-fast 5G, the latest A15 Bionic Chip and the same tough Ceramic Shield front.
But when you really get into the nitty gritty of iPhone 13 Pro, you’ll soon see that it lives up to its pro name and then some.
Display and design:
So, as I said, iPhone 13 Pro features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display but what doesn’t show up at first glance is Pro-motion.
I love to use my iPhone to binge watch those random Netflix original series’ when everyone else is hogging the TV and for this reason ProMotion is a dream.
ProMotion is a new Apple feature, exclusive to iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max. It offers an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz which makes this already impressive display much more fluid. And if you’re anything like me and hate lag and buffer, 13 Pro is perfect.
On the topic of watching far too much TV, is there anything worse than when you’re squinting uncontrollably at your screen in a bid to see it on those dark, cosy nights?
The only answer here is no, to be clear. I was always taught that winning isn’t important and that it’s the taking part that counts.
When it comes to iPhones however, I’m a firm believer in competition. Apple are always trying to do more than the model that came before, and iPhone 12 Pro and 13 Pro are no exception.
iPhone 13 Pro boasts a whopping 25% extra brightness than iPhone 12 Pro, which for an entertainment lover like me, is excellent news.
When it comes to design, iPhone 13 Pro has clumsy people like me in mind. Ceramic Shield that we all know, and love has been used to give people like me more reassurance in day to day life.
Pair this with the IP68 rating for water resistance and you’ve got a winner.
I also love a sleek looking finish. I think there’s always something so spectacular-looking about the Pro models released by Apple.
If you’re someone like me who has their iPhone in their hand, more than they’d care to admit, the surgical grade steel bands are ideal.
They make for a more comfortable hold which saves the pinky finger, that you have tucked under your mobile right now, feeling fantastic.
The matte glass back is where the magic happens. The colour of your iPhone is a big deal, I’m sorry but it majorly is.
The average length of a contract is two years, meaning you’ve got to stick with your colour choice for that long too.
Deciding on an iPhone 13 Pro colour is a difficult task, made even harder by the fact that this matte glass back compliments every single one beautifully.
You can choose between Graphite, Silver, Gold or Sierra Blue. And may I just say that if Sierra Blue hasn’t caught your eye, it certainly should’ve.
What’s not to love? It’s a perfect splash of colour that’ll stay timeless and look just as special in two years’ time.
I’m guilty of taking photos of literally everything, to the point where I have to fork out for extra storage.
For this reason, a camera on a phone is hugely important to me and iPhone 13 Pro features Apple’s biggest camera advancement EVER.
It’s a step up from the standard model and the mini as Apple throw in an extra telephoto lens – for when you’re getting up close and personal.
3x optical zoom on the ultra-wide lens is ideal for getting those details that you would’ve otherwise missed.
Field of view as a concept doesn’t really scream excitement to me, so when I heard iPhone 13 Pro has a 120 degree field of view on the ultra-wide lens, I wasn’t blown away.
That’s until Apple delved into what this really means. The ultra-wide lens will be able to capture as much of a scene as you’d be able to see with your own eyes. Which is magical to me?
Of course, when you’ve snapped all your snaps, heavy-social media users like me will want to get them posted.
One of my favourite things about the iPhone 13 Pro camera is the photographic styles feature. With four default styles to choose from, each photo will look effortlessly dreamy.
As you’ve probably guessed by now, I spend a silly amount of time on my phone, so performance is everything. iPhone 13 Pro offers an additional 1.5 hours of battery life compared to iPhone 12 Pro, which means it can keep up with all my social-media noseying.
Throw in super-fast 5G and the A15 Bionic chip and entertainment lovers literally have everything they need.
I’m taking you back to the camera for a second now but stay with me. So, not only do you get the chance to snap endless incredible photos, you’ve got all the space you need to store them!
With up to 1TB of storage, the need to buy more storage has vanished, saving myself and you those extra pennies.
I want a taste of the Pro life, you?
Christmas is literally around the corner and there are endless reasons why iPhone 13 Pro should be on your list.
