Spoiler alert…Yes.

Samsung left us spoilt for choice at their Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event as they released three incredible phones. The Samsung Galaxy S21, S21 Plus, and S21 Ultra, but it’s the Ultra that’s got us all ultra-fascinated.

We’re all guilty of being like a little kid in a toy shop when it comes to phones. Just like kids, we’re fascinated by the biggest and drawn to them like magnets. Of course, we aren’t disregarding the smaller phones out there and we absolutely loved iPhone 12 mini.

While we recognise the beauty of some of the more compact phones, we can’t ignore the sheer brilliance that comes when you buy the Galaxy S21 Ultra. We thought we’d seen it all with the Galaxy S20 Ultra, but boy were we wrong.

The latest ultra-sized addition to the Galaxy family is more affordable than last year’s model and delivers even more advanced features.

We’ve looked at everything from display and design to camera and performance and brought you all the reasons why the Galaxy S21 Ultra is the ultimate mobile phone.

Crafted by the phone Gods.

We aren’t exaggerating people. This phone literally looks like something that has been chiselled and crafted by a higher being. We’re talking about little angels wearing visors and holding blow torches, that’s how good it is.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra introduces a new and striking design that features an iconic Contour Cut Camera. Unlike its predecessor, the camera on this phone blends seamlessly into the rest of the metal frame, giving it a premium look.

Don’t even get us started on the colours, we’ll be here for hours! The S21 Ultra is available in only two colours, but it’s not about the number, it’s about the quality. Phantom Black offers a classic finish and masters the art of being simple but elegant.

The S21 Ultra boasts a mesmerizing design...

Its second colour is Phantom Silver which is perfect for those wanting to add a touch of sparkle without it looking tacky. No matter which colour you opt for, it’ll be complimented with a luxurious haze finish – the cherry on the cake.

It’s safe to say that we don’t all take care of our phones quite as much as we probably should. Whether it’s putting them in our pockets with our car keys, accidentally dropping them, or splashing them while you do the dishes.

We don’t just want a phone that’s easy on the eyes, we want it to last. The Galaxy S21 Ultra is manufactured with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, which is the toughest yet for anyone keeping track. This means it can survive that everyday wear and tear your day throws at it.

It also boasts an IP68 rating for water resistance meaning it can be submerged in 1.5 metres of water for up to 30 minutes. This takes away some of the worries that come with a new phone and ensures it stays safe and sound!

We hope you’ve got your sunnies…

Sadly, we aren’t offering you a holiday here. Lockdown is still on and trips abroad are still off the cards. We’re telling you you’ll need your sunnies for a whole other reason. The Galaxy S21 Ultra boasts an utterly mesmerising display.

It’s not only huge, measuring at a whopping 6.8-inches, but is brighter than bright. It reaches 1500 nits peak brightness, 300 more than iPhone 12 Pro Max (not that it’s a competition or anything, right?). Other phones that have AMOLED screens normally only make it to 1200 nits, so this is huge.

Be dazzled by the S21 Ultra's display.

Combine this with its barley-there bezels and you’ve got yourself a top viewing experience. If you’re more of a gamer, the 120Hz refresh rate should peak your interest. Seamless scrolling will be a part of everyday life with the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

There’s even more to say about the refresh rate though. The S21 Ultra is the first of Samsung’s smartphones that has this speedy refresh rate while sporting Quad HD resolution. Meaning you get to see everything super clearly and enjoy a more fluid mobile experience.

Cameras galore.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra camera is really something special. It packs four stunning lenses that’ll have you feeling like a professional photographer. You’ll have people lining up at your door, (2 metres social distancing of course) enquiring about your prices and availability.

Ready for your close up? The S21 Ultra has two stunning 10MP telephoto lens that bring even the smallest of details to life. It also features a 100x zoom range and lets you see every texture, tone, and everything in between.

The wide lens is where things get silly, but good silly not silly silly. This 108MP camera lets you get more of a scene in a shot, whilst maintaining incredible clarity. That first, post-lockdown, group night out photo session will bang. If you need more range, the 12MP ultra-wide lens has you covered.

Which camera lens has got you excited?

At the minute we imagine the only snaps you’re getting are selfies. Maybe of you on yet another walk, or you with the dogs – there’s not an awful lot of exciting things going on at the minute. The S21 Ultra has a stunning 40MP front camera that’ll give you social-media ready shots in no time.

It’s also great for getting great video footage and lets users record video at 8K. As impressive as this is, it’s the new Director’s View mode that snatched our attention. You can now capture video with the front and back cameras, simultaneously!

You heard us right. You can combine your own reaction shots with the main footage and produce truly unique content. You’ll be able to see first-hand your initial reactions to things, as and when they happen.

It talks the talk, but can it walk the walk.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra certainly isn’t all talk. It owes it’s incredible speed and performance to Samsung’s top 5G and impressive Exynos 2100 processor. This dynamic duo gives faster downloads, higher-quality streaming, and more responsive gaming.

To enjoy all of this phone’s great features, you’ll want lots of power. Galaxy S21 Ultra users can take advantage of the huge 5000mAh battery and enjoy a full day’s use from one single charge. When you do start to run low, this mobile supports fast wireless charging – no more waiting around.

Many people have been put off by the fact that Samsung aren’t including a charger plug in the box of any new Galaxy S21 mobile. However, they’ve kept with the USB type-C charger that you’re all familiar with.

Their hopes are that you already have an adaptor that you can use, and this decision brings about lots of positives for the environment. From reduced plastic use and will help everyone make more sustainable choices.

Thank you, Samsung.

If you’ve not realised by now, we’re huge fans of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. We just know our customers are going to fall head over heels in love with it and can’t wait to see it creep onto our top 10 mobiles list next month.

The great news is, the S21 Ultra is now available, and you can get your hands on it as soon as tomorrow – we’ll even deliver it right to your door, for free.
