Whether you're saving something important for work like an email, or just sharing a text conversation between friends, taking a screenshot on your iPhone is probably second nature to you.
But what if the content you want to capture is longer than a single screen? Fear not, iPhone users, that’s what scrolling screenshots are for.
You’re probably sat there thinking, well, what’s one of those? Read on and we'll walk you through the process step-by-step in this guide.
How to take a scrolling screenshot.
Head to where you want to capture. That might be a webpage in Safari, a text message conversation, an email, or any other scrollable content.
Press the combination of buttons to take a regular screenshot. On most iPhones, you can do this by pressing the Power Button (located on the right side of the device) and the Volume Up Button (located on the left side) at the same time.
If you have a slightly older model with a Home Button, press the Home Button and the Power Button together, at the same time.
A thumbnail of it will appear in the bottom left corner of your screen. Tap on the thumbnail to open your screenshot.
At the top, you'll see options like "Screen" and "Full Page." To capture your scrolling screenshot, tap on the "Full Page" option.

Now, you can scroll through the content, and as you scroll, the shot will automatically extend, capturing the entire page or conversation. Keep scrolling until you've captured everything you need.
Once you're done, you'll be taken to an editor. Here, you can crop, annotate, or make any adjustments.
After editing, tap "Done" in the upper-left corner. You'll then have the option to save the screenshot to your Photos or share it directly with friends and colleagues via other apps and platforms, like Outlook and WhatsApp.
To find it later, head to your Photos and look for it in the dedicated "Screenshots" album, or your camera roll. You could also organise them into separate folders or albums for easy access.
Give it a go.
