Will 2021 be seeing the Galaxy S21?

There’s always rumours that begin to circulate amid the release of a brand new phone and the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S21 has seen many.

The internet has been overloaded with rumoured specs, release dates and features despite Samsung having only just launched the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.

The Galaxy S21 is expected to be released early 2021 and Samsung fans around the country are making all sorts of guesses about what to expect. One of the predictions is that there will be three versions of the S21 – the standard model, the S21+ and the S21 Ultra.

We’ve looked around online and gathered up all the rumours surrounding the Galaxy S21 to deliver you everything worth knowing so far!

News about the name.

So, we’ve been referring to Samsung’s upcoming release as the Galaxy S21, but the truth is this could be wrong. When the S series reached the S10, we all assumed the successor would be named the Galaxy S11, but it turned out to be the Galaxy S20.

This had lead people to believe that the new Samsung release may actually be the Galaxy S30! However, reputable leaker @UniverseIce, has referred to it as the Galaxy S21 – so we’re going with that!

Design and display secrets spilled.

According to leaks on Voice, the new Samsung device will pack a display that measures roughly 6.2-inch and features a single centred selfie camera punch-hole cut out.

If this rumour is true, Samsung fangs are certainly going to get a screen that’s perfect for downloading and streaming on! The rumours on Voice also state that the Galaxy S21 measures roughly 151. X 71.2 x 7.99mm.

According to rumours circulating on Sammobile, the Samsung Galaxy S21+ will pack a whopping 6.7-inch display, with 3200 x 1440 pixel resolution, which is a huge step up from the S21 standard model and is perfect for those mobile phone users who prefer a huge screen.

For those of you who want to go one bigger and get the biggest screen available, the Galaxy S21 Ultra will be the ideal phone for you – if the rumours surrounding its screen size are true!

The Galaxy S21 Ultra however is expected to deliver a display between 6.7-inch and 6.9-inch according to leaks by Voice and is predicted to measure approximately 165.1 x 75.6 x 8.9mm.

All three phones are rumoured to pack Infinity-O display technology and the signature Samsung metal and glass build. According to rumours on Sammobile, a dynamic 120Hz refresh rate may also be present, great news for gamers, as well as an in display fingerprint sensor.

Rumoured camera tricks.

There doesn’t seem to be quite as many rumours surrounding the camera of the upcoming Galaxy S21 series. We saw the Time-of-Flight sensor that the Galaxy S20+ featured, so many people are questioning whether we see this again!

The leaked photos on Voice, suggest that the Galaxy S21 Ultra’s camera bump is almost twice the size of the regular S21 and includes up to four lenses instead of three on the smaller model.

Release date.

Rumours on OnLeaks suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S21 launch date will be January 2012 which is actually a month earlier than the usual February Samsung event!

The previous Samsung Galaxy S20 series was launched at the Unpacked event 11th February 2020 with the phones then being available for pre-order ten days later. They officially went on sale 6thMarch and many people are assuming that this will be the same for the Galaxy S21.

Price prediction.

According to rumours on Tom’s Guide, the Galaxy S21 price is expected to be of a similar price to the Galaxy S20 price at launch. They’ve stated that they feel prices will start at £899 for the standard model.

The Galaxy S21+ is expected to be £100 more than that and the Galaxy S21 Ultra £100 more than that!
